Parkland Acquisition Resolution Passes at Civic Federation!

Update April 2016:

Support the Civic Federation’s Parks Resolution. Write to the County Board to support more parkland in the County.

In February, the Arlington County Civic Federation overwhelming approved a resolution that the County Board adopted a Park Land Acquisition goal of obtaining, on average, 3 acres of park land over the next ten years using a variety of tools at their disposal besides park land acquisition bonds.  Stef Pryor, Civic Federation President, made a public presentation to the Board concerning the Civic Federation Parks Resolution at the February County Board meeting.

Citizens are urged to write to the County Board indicating their support for the goal because additional park land is needed to meet the needs of projected population increases, not to mention satisfy today’s citizen demands.
