Diamond Field Scheduling at Virginia Highlands Park

Field scheduling during Spring 2019, the last prime diamond field season, wherein fields had dozens of hours either unscheduled or consisting of blanket permit scheduled for private rentals (for-profit) companies of which very little was utilized. Spring 2019

CivFed presentation and supporting documentation on the Level of Service and reservations for diamond fields. The Civic Federation’s Park and Recreation Committee’s report which highlights inequities in access to open park space (unreservable, unbuilt spaces accessible to every member of the public). Pentagon City/Crystal City is one of the most under-served in open park space access in the County, including the almost non-existent open park space access at Virginia Highlands Park.
